3. Free Hugs at a shopping center! (staff-pictrues by Hodong Lim)
At about 3:00 PM (29 Jan 2008)
After finishing free hugs at JNU, for doing the real last free hugs, we walked for 20 min to preah. We got a permission from a police at preah, and after arrange each other's bags and clothe, and we do free hugs again.
As like all the time, I remember smiling of so many people and so many faces regardless of being good or expressionless. And even though we were apart 10~20m from each other, I remember that I saw our members who were standing with holding a baord without losing their warm smiling when they were in loneliness.
We met a filiming team from a broadcast center to record that days events, so many people who could earn money as much they could enjoy and buy something at preah, some poor children who had to bag any food without any spare-time to say hello, from some staffs working at a shop to a guard protecting a shop, and from a little child grabing mom's hand to young ladies and gentle men. People's reactions and site scence which made us think of Insadong Ssamziegil in Seoul... And calm feeling of happiness sharing smile without any pretending...
...
After finishing these all of things and free hugs for about a half and hour, we hugged each others to encourage and say 'you did a good job!'. And while we doing this, someone would cry because it was the real last time. Yes, the last time meant somewhat having mixed emotion of joy and sorrow. To make this project possible, there were so many works and happenings we did in Korea. And so many great people whom we met (sometimes we washed their foot!) and who we got a help and worked together...
Everybody said that it was nothing but seeding a little seed. The people, who were living at the same time and the same planet but did not exist to us, turned to a great, alive people through only one hug which means meeting each other's heart so close. I think this is the very present to us and them. Really.
This miracle, doing hugs and stating a love before they distingish whether a person is who they like or hate, was a possible work to be happened.
And the miracle could be happened over a hunderd, a thousand times for thirty days.
