2. Free Hugs at Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU)
(Staff/pictures by Hodong)

At about 1:00 PM ( 29 Jan 2008 )

Free hugs after a week interval from the day(22 Jan) of visiting a Dalit twon in Varanasi. As like the day before, we gathered at JNU by riding a bus for 1 hour. It was quite a tense and awkward to do free hugs with a week break, but it was not so difficult to make our mind to be ready for it because the day was the last day of free hugs in our journey.

After talking about each of position, we started free hugs for about over 1 hour at each of position. By and large, it was much more calm free hugs rather than before. Well, In fact, it means also that the moment was the case of the time passing slow.

Hakjae, who is easy to meet a student/professor at first in JNU. She always got a spotlight in Nepal & India as like a mascot of Hi, OPOM! (I think of the reason as that she is pretty or has quite while skin or has a nice fashion sence. :) ) Anyway, I supposed that she did really well with wram and joyful hugs while adding a good explaination.

Donghun, the leader of Hi, OPOM!, was doing Free Hugs on the same way but a little bit apart from Hakjae. He, who has the best competence of English, has an essential role of explain the purpose of our activities and begining of us and answering other questions. He hugged a man whose hight is maybe about 200cm! :)

I don't know whether Hyeonjin got a hate from Hodong (it's a Joke, sorry. X) ) but anyway Hyeonjin's pictures are quite rare. I think that maybe he couldn't have lots of opportunity because of this position, but whenever he does Free Hugs, he smiles big with warm hugs. :)

Even though Cheolmin was at similar position with Hyeonjin, I supposed that he met relatively lots of people because he was standing on a cross road. I want to give him a warm hug(!!) who was doing Free Hugs quite well with us until the last time.

Frank had some interesting relationships. :) He met a professor who teached him when he studied at JNU, and also he recieved hot tea from his German friend who is working at JNU as a teacher of German. He was confident to do free hugs with warm smile. :)

I was standing at the end or start point where was in front of a restaurant, the place of having meal for JNU. To me, it was a little bit difficult point to see their indifferent attitude and no approaching to me which were little more than before. But so far, I already became an expert(!) who can maintain smiling openly and warm face while I was in such a loneliness. :)

Episode

In process of free hugs, we met some Korean studying at JNU. They bought some drinks for our team. And they also invited us to their home and gave a great and never-to-be-forgotten dinner for us. We talked a lot about our activities while recording some video and pictures, and we played with some interesting entertainment, with cool bear. :)
